Your pet will receive the highest level of anesthetic care at our state-of-the art facility. Please schedule a pre-operative tour with us!

  • Behavior

    • Sometimes our pets need a little help becoming model citizens. We are happy to work with you to address issues such as inappropriate elimination, anxiety, aggression, and any other concerns.

  • Denistry

    • Tired of morning breath? We can help fix that problem!
    • The majority of dental disease lies hidden under the gum line. For this reason, placing a pet under anesthesia to allow for thorough cleanings is considered the standard of care. We scale and polish all teeth.
    • Digital intraoral radiographs (x-rays) allow for examination of tooth roots and demonstrate evidence of disease that lies under the gum line. We can also use radiographs to ensure the entire tooth has been removed during an extraction.

    • Does your furry friend smell a little funny, have scaly skin, or have a sudden onset of baldness?
    • We are prepared to diagnose and treat skin and ear conditions caused by infection, autoimmune diseases, allergies, and parasites.

We proudly partner with Purina Veterinary Diets to offer research-based nutritional advice for maintenance and prescription diets.

When the last day has come & tears will be shed, we share a special place for beloved pets to rest their head. Find this peaceful corner to say good-bye and thank a dear soul for the years gone by.

  • In-House Diagnostic Laboratory

When your pet comes to us with an illness that needs immediate medical attention, our state-of-the art in-house diagnostic laboratory allows us to obtain a diagnosis within minutes of your arrival. We can run a variety of chemistry panels, complete blood counts, and a urinalysis along with other frequently run tests such as fructosamine, urine protein/creatinine ratio, and phenobarbital levels all in house! You should not have to wait 24 hours for lab results, and neither should your pet!

  • Training

    • Spalding Animal Hospital is pleased to partner with Alex Andes to provide training classes in our building!

Peach on a Leash owner and head trainer, Alex Andes, has been training dogs and studying dog behavior for nearly a decade. She attended the University of Georgia where she began honing her training skills, while helping improve the behavior of local shelter dogs to reduce euthanasia rates. She graduated with honors in 2012 and worked as both a pet adoption counselor and an assistant dog trainer before being offered a job with celebrity dog trainer Victoria Stilwell of Animal Planet’s “It’s Me or the Dog.”

Alex traveled the world with Victoria and had the opportunity to learn from her in all facets of training and behavior for over four years before deciding to pursue her dream of launching Peach on a Leash. Their work together allowed Alex the opportunity to work hands-on with both pet dogs and working dogs, including police dogs and accelerant detection dogs. Alex was recently accepted into the prestigious Jean Donaldson Academy for Dog Trainers, commonly referred to as “the Harvard for dog trainers,” to further refine her training skills. These experiences have helped her to become one of the most studied, well-rounded trainers in the area, and her results-oriented training utilizes positive reinforcement techniques that are backed by the latest modern behavioral science.
